Happy Birthday Grandma

Today was my Grandma's 82nd birthday! I would say that's a pretty big deal. Don't cha think?

I made the hour-ish drive over to her house today so I could spend her big day with her! I took my grandmother and my aunt Dorotie out to lunch at the Olive Garden. Yummy! I just love that place. I had one of my favorites- the portobello mushroom ravioli, and the 2 ladies got themselves some tasty soup. We had a wonderful time together enjoying our food and chitchatting.

After lunch, I took my aunt back to her house so she could get ready for choir practice later in the evening. Then, my grandmother and I went back to her house, so we could visit for a while. She showed me her lemon tree. Wowie! She got it from one of her friends. I had heard about it, but I thought it was a tiny little tree. Turns out it's a pretty big tree with huge lemons on it. She even cut me a lemon off of it to take home. It's bigger than anything you see at the store! I hung out at her house for about 2 hours. After we had some cake and hot tea, it was time for me to come on home. I hated to go, but I wanted to get home before rush hour hit!

We had a great day together! I just love spending time with my grandparents! I am so thankful that 3 of my 4 of my grandparents are still living. I love each of them dearly! I know not everyone is as blessed as I am :)

Took my Grandmother (and my aunt)
some red velvet cake balls. They are tasty,
but a mess!

My grandmother's birthday gift- a pretty mum!
I took her the yellow one, and I gave the purple
one to my aunt. They prettied up my front door
for one day :)

My lemon. I tried to put something next
to it for scale. The best I could do was
my salt and pepper shakers, which are
right behind the lemon.

Happy Birthday Grandma!!!!!! Love you :)
