1 Month

So true to form, there is some back blogging to do and this post is late, but I don't want to forget these things.

My little Nathan turned 1 month old on August 18th.

Weight: By our bathroom scale we are pretty sure you weigh about 10 pounds

Height: Don't know. At your 2 week check you were in the 75th percentile for all your sats, and you look really long to me and your daddy.

Clothing: Newborn still fits, but we mostly have 0-3 months and you are starting to fill them out much better.

Diapers: We had 1 box of newborns, and now we are using size 1.

Feeding: Mommy is so proud and thankful! We have made it a whole month just breast feeding. I was so nervous about how we would both do before you were born, but you were a great eater from the beginning. The midwives even said so when you were 2 days old. Mommy has even managed to pump some after you are done eating, so there is some in the freezer for when I go back to work. Your eating schedule is still pretty uncertain. Sometimes at night up to 5 hrs and during the day sometime every 2 hrs.

Hair and eyes: Hair is brown with red and blonde highlights that pick up in the sun. We think it will end up being like daddy's hair when he was little- a sandy brown. It's getting longer but you still have the old man hairline you were born with. Hopefully you will fill in with some hair in the front soon. Your eyes are still the bright blue you were born with. Your daddy wouldn't mind if they turned green like his, but it's ok if they stay blue too.

Sleep: It's kind of crazy, but that's more our fault than yours. You fall asleep with mom and dad around 11 to midnight and sleep until 9:30. You usually wake up in the night about 4 or 5 and then again at 7 or 8. Then cat naps during the day with 1 longer nap later in the day. Mom is working on how to fix this crazy pattern you are in.

Fun stuff: You are starting to smile for real a little. You are so happy when you first get up in the morning- it's my favorite time of day! Your favorite toy is your play gym. We can lay you down on it and you just stare and coo at the hanging whale and octopus. Daddy loves to put you on his chest and let you sleep, which is partially why you are so spoiled. You have been to your first baseball game- the local team. Your puppy is very interested in you.

In your first month of life mommy and daddy and you moved to Knoxville where daddy's new job is. You had lots of visitors- both grandmas, both grandpas, David, Uncle Nicholas, Uncle Nick's friend Barclee, Great Grandma Lila, Great grandma and grandpa Greer, Great aunt Karen, cousins Grace and Hannah, mrs. Eileen, Great uncle Keith, and friends Jordan, Robin, Amanda, and Austin, and your first little friend Noah! Hope that was every one.

Little fellow we love you so much and we are enjoying getting to know everything about you! This first month has been so wonderful and I can't wait to watch you grow in the coming months and years!
